First of all I am sortta new to DSLRs I just got my Digital Rebel a little while ago.¬* I already have a 35-80mm lens like this which is available here http://www.bhphotovideo.com/bnh/controller/home?O=productlist&A=details&Q=&sku=92 092&is=USA¬* and I was going to get the Sigma lens like this available here http://www.bhphotovideo.com/bnh/controller/home?O=WishList.jsp&A=details&Q=&sku=1 63662&is=REG But according to this post. http://www.stevesforums.com/forums/view_topic.php?id=55751&forum_id=37 there was something wrong with it, and it wouldn't work with my Rebel? Can anybody clairify that for me?

Thanks! By saying "not the best lens out there" is it good still? I am not like taking pictures of sports or anything, just travel and scenery.

Yes it is a real good lens, what I mean is that it doesnt have IS,USM,2.8 glass or is "L" glass.Other than that I find it very nice.I use it mainly for the 300mm ie 480mm after the 1.6x.I find that I shake like a 100yr old man so I recomend a tripod at that focal length.

Charlie,

Don't you have the APO lens??? The link he has here is for the non-APO. I would adviseGreek 204 that there is a better version of this lens. The APO version would be a better choice for not much more money. I think it's 219 USA at B&H.

Here is the link at B&H

That's the lens you really want.

Uhh, its Geeek204 :G
The only problem is that I don't have that kind of money right now, because when I get the new lens I have to buy another case so this I can fit everything. Besides for $170 I can just get a Canon USM lens or for $150 I can just get the regular Canon lens.
