My Dig. Rebel XT kit lens uses a 58mm filter. My long lens uses a 67mm filter. I'm forever losing lens covers. Where can I find "tethered" or "lanyard" type lens covers.

My old (loved) Sony 717 has a lens cover attached to my neck strap by an unattractive black string. It works!

Thanks,

Tom

You can buy the tethers separately online. Do a google search for "Lens cap tether". Or, you can buy sticky tape velcro and make your own.

Or as an alternate use a UV/Skylight/KR1.5-3 filter and leave the lens cap home... :-) :G

Hi Tom

I was surfing B&H looking for a lens and remembering your post, I found this stuff:

Sima Cap Keeper II - $1.95

<<Features: Prevents lens cap loss with adhesive-backed disc attached lens cap. CapKeeper2 has an elastic band which fits around the lens barrel for use with SLR type cameras. >>

Maybe it'll fit your purpose.

Thanks for the suggestions. The velcro tether should do the trick.
