I primarily use my Sigma 18-125mm f/3.5-5.6 DC lens as my every day, walking around lens. My long lens is the Canon EF 75-300mm f/4-5.6 IS USM and I am very happy with the IS on it. I have taken a number of handheld pictures that I was positive were going to be blurry but they weren't. I love IS and wish it was on all my lens but sometimes cost does enter into it. Plus by letting the wife use my Canon 28-105 3.5-4.5 I know she'll be getting better pictures for me to look at. (My son is using my old Powershot Pro 90 IS and my daughter is using my G-3 while they are gone. So I'll lot's of pictures to look at when they get home.)
