Does anyone know where I could seeMTF charts for this lens (Tamron SP 28-105mm f/2.8 IF LD Aspherical Autofocus Lens).

The numbers don't look sogood wide open with this one (the Tamron SP 35-105 f/2.8 looksbetter wide open compared to the newer 28-105mm f/2.8 ) at photodo.com. They're not a lot better stopped down.

But, I'd like to see the charts (and photodo.com doesn't have them for this lens, they only have the numbers):

It's difficult to judge a lens using just the numbers with Digital (because MTF ratings are looking at measurements that go beyond the crop factor area of a lens, and contrast/sharpess sometimes drops off abrubtly).

So, you need the charts (versus just the numbers) to see how well it's going to work in the "sweet spot" for a DSLR using a sensor with a crop factor, compared to just the numbers sites like photodo.com publish (although they do have the charts for some lenses).

Of course, you need more than just charts to judge a lens, too. :-)
