I'm sure this is one of Canon's finest lenses. Good value and you have to love the bokeh. I am also quite happy with 1600ISO shots taken during night tennis without flash. I got some reasonable macros with it combining a kenko extension tube and Sigma Super DG external flash as well.

Is there anything else this lens can do?

Yes the wonderful bokeh makes the subject just pop out at you. I like the skin tones with the people shots.
