a quick question:

If I add a 2x converter on the 24-70 f.2.8 sigma, will I still be able to use f.2.8 for maximum aperture?

I shoot a lot of racing pictures, so I might use this lens if I'm closer to the action.

I would not recommend using any TC on a standard FLzoom, even an f2.8 lens. I don't care if it's the 24-70EX or 24-70L, it isn't pleasing. CA really comes out and you'll need to stop down a whole lot to even begin to get "okay" shots. TCs were meant for longer FL lenses and long primes. See my link below and when you get there, scroll all the way to the right. You'll see what I mean...otherwise, the Sigma 24-70 f2.8 EX DG Macro is one heck of a lens.
