... But the Canon just seems really cheap.
It should be - you're comparing f/4 vs f/2.8 (apples and oranges)

The aperture is the ratio of the focal lenght by the effective diameter of the lens - since the focal lenghts are the same, the opening of the f/2.8 lenses are twice the size of the f/4. Hence you're paying for more glass (i.e. a faster lens) + materials to keep it together:
The Canon 70-200 f/2.8 is almost twice the cost of the f/4 - IMO you're getting a bargain

-> Plus the Sigma comes with a fitted case, hood, and a quick release tripod mount - What is included with the f/4???

NHL, a quick question. Might trade my 70-200 f4 for the sigma f2.8 version. Should I go for non DG version or the newer DG version? Which one is better. Do both work on full-frame sensors?

The DG lenses work on both 35 mm and smaller SLRs. The DG is simply a new coating on the lens that helps to reduceglare and ghosting on digital sensors.

I have the older non-DG, but if I have to do it again I'll pick the DG... the $ difference is really nothing in the overall scheme
