I just recently purchased a Canon D30 on eBay for $215. I don't know much about DSLR cameras and I really did not think I was going to with the camera for so cheap. It does not come with a lens and I just need one to get me started. My price range is $50-100.

Congrats on your new purchase Blake. There are many new and used lens out there that you could start out with. I would recommend either the Sigma 18-50 f/3.5-5.6, or the Canon 50 f/1.8 both are good starter lens and can be had for under $100. Like I said there are other options out there, but these should get ya started. Good luck!

Go right back to ebay. I got a sigma 70-300 for $50. Cheap lens but a nice price.

Another nice cheap lens is the Canon 50mm F1.8 prime lens, about $80.
