I have the 50mm F1.4 and I think it's overkill buying it new, definitely worth a look used.

I'd love to have the 85mm F1.8, just going to dream about it for now, but no lenses purchases expected in the next year or so .

I bought my 50mm 1.4 used. Interestingly, the dealer sold it separately from the used camera he purchased, an EOS 1. He was selling the used EOS 1 for less than the lens. You'd enjoy the 85mm. It's a great lens. I look for opportunities to use it.

ok.. so the 50 1.4 copy i got really wasn't very good.. i have seen much better, so i know why this one was returned.. luckily i had 7 days to return it myself..

so now i found a good deal on a 28 1.8, so i am going to get my money back and go for that..

and then pick up the 50 and 85 after the new year..

just in case anyone was interested, prolly not.. hehe..
