Thanks NHL. I was hoping there was a way to get rid of the pre-flash. But, I see some electrical tape as a pretty good solution to the problem - it's very rare that I need the assist and can't use flash but it's still bothered me.

One has to re-program the firmware on how Canon implemented their flashes:




-> Basically there are 3 wireless (pre-flashes) transmssions for channel A, B, and C and not just one!!! :evil:
