I have heard that they are gray market lenses, but I couldn't say for sure on that. So as long as they offer a USA warranty you sould be ok.

I've shopped @ Sigma4less, B+H, and Adorama - The difference is in the 1 year worldwide vs 3 years USA warranty

It's like an insurance premium - It's OK to get a grey market (in which case the warranty is of the same 1-year lenght as Canon) or go to B+H and pay extra to get the longer 3 years Sigma USA warranty...

-> The lenses are identical! :-) :G

I know the lenses are the same and really love to go and play at B&H and I am going to go and buy it at B&H tomorrow as long as I can get down there,so there NHL I should have my new sharp (heavy lol) lens tomorrow and hopefully have better luck shoot geeese tomorrow than I had today.

-> Pick up a 1.4x teleconverter too - It'll get you to 420mm @ f/5.6 if needed and still be quite excellent!

I will but the $975 is going to push me to the limit for now.I have a 20D so that will make it a 480mm lens for now,but cant wait until I can get the 1.4 extender and see how far I can reach.

Thanks

First lens I bought from Sigma4less was the 70-200 EX DG 2.8 and today I received my Sigma 17-70 DC 2.8-4.5. Nothing but excellent service from Sigma4less.

How you like yours 17-70?

I would be interested to hear your reaction to your 17-70 also. I am considering that or the 17-70 f2.8 Macro. I have a few weeks to think about it. I have a Canon 70-200 2.8 USM already, the 50mm 1.8and the 18-55 kit lens. I would like the "macro" feature as well. I know it isn't a true macro but will focus very close.

I am looking at Sigma4less and B&H as well. I have purchased from B&H before and was completely satisfied.

Happy Shooting!
