Thanks for the reply pj1974 it's a real pain in the ass to decide i was thinking of getting the EF 10-22 for wide and then the 28-135, but then again the 17-85 is probably wide enough for me and it also has that extra reach.

Boy i didn't think photobucket resizes your images that much, any other way to send like on the bottom of this site where it ay's browse.

Yes it is difficult to decide between what type of lenses, how many, etc. If you have the 18-55 already as I understand you'll get a good idea of the RANGE of the 17-85 (as it's 1mm shorter on the wide angle and 30mm longer on the zoom side).

Of course the 17-85 is superior in build and optical quality.
