Hi guiys,
I would like to buy the eos 350 d and i never had a reflex before. My problems are the lenses. I found a paccage contaning the camera, 18-55, 55-200mm, and an additional battery for 1090euros. the camera per se is 700euros. Could you tell me what is the corresponding zoom of a 55-200mm on a compact camera (just to be clear: is it a x6 or a x5, for example)? And would you suggest me any different lens all in one or two other better lenses that do not cost together (or the one alone) more than 500 euros (about 600$)? tell me if they are a better alternative and what is the difference.
Thanks guys

PS sorry for my english...I'm Italian:-)

I had the 55-200mm lens with my XT when I first purchased it, butsold it. The picture quality was not very good, and I found out how shakey my hands were and the need to use a tripod. I didn't like the lens.

I would not recommend this lens.
