hi guys, will older macro lenses fit the 350D? I cannot quite afford new lenses right now...was wondering if buying used lenses is an option while I save up for the real thing.

which macro lenses will fit and which won't? And what about Sigma?

would also welcome suggestions which macro-lenses to save up for.

How old is old ?
It needs to be EF series for it to mount on your camera...

Almost all macro lenses are good in general since there's no such thing as a bad macro lens. For flowers it really doesn't matter much, but for insects you want to get the longest lens that you can afford:
1. It allows you to work at further distance so you won't scare the bugs away
2. It also make lighting a little bit easier

Sigma at the moment has an excellent 150mm f/2.8 EX Macro with HSM
