Good Choice.* Fits the portrait concept and right in line with the idea of the Tamron 28-75mm 2.8.* I'm sure the lines will serve you well.* Glad you found a good used lens.* When you get a chance post some shots.

Would like to ask a guestion considering the lens that I've just bought.

Above the zoom ring there is another ring with some numbers for the distance and starts from macro 0.7 1 3 m..... to the endless of distance.....

What does it for and how this effect on photos

I assume you are speaking about the focus distance scale.* You could set the focus on the lens based on the distance from the lens to the subject.* Maybe some other reader could give some examples.* Some of inexpensive lenses do not have the scale.
