 I'm jumping for joy I'm so glad I exchanged my PSP for this S3 IS at Circuit City

I had my eye on it for a while and today it finally droped to $359 and Circuit City Pricematched Costco to $349.99. and I had a $40 off $200 or above coupon so it was $309.00, And as I was gonna pay some lady asked me if I wanted to take asurvey If I did CC would give a $5 Gift Card so I did. So it was really $304.

I've taken really crisp shots righ out of the Box I love it.

I had heard that Canon was having some quality problems with the S3 IS line so I was praying mine was from a production line or run with newer Firmware that was ok.

So far so good. No blurry pics (even though we all know its a Sony made CCD Sensor inside the beloved S3 IS)

I did get the "Memory Card error" Right off the bat, but a Low Level format solved that.

So are there any Firmware Upgrades out there I need or is there any way to decypher from the Serial number the Date it was Made On?

Some of me Unboxing me S3 taken with phone

Thank you.

My first ever post here was after my disaterous experience buying a Sony DSCW 5 (What a horribel camera) (returned it)

After much learning and asking older wiser adults (my dentist) Said get either a Canon or a Nikon and he was right (and don't forget to floss)

Nikon is great but their cameras are Fugly and not very attractive

So Canon was a natural choice.

I know that the Successor to the S3 IS is just mere months away

All Retailers are clearing their "old" stock of S3's and I doubt any more are comming
