Hello,

I just joined up tonight to find out if anyone could help me. I was given the Canon Powershot S3 IS as a birthday present.

Here is the problem I am having I already inserted the CD but when I hooked up my camera to my laptop. The program keeps asking me to find the file "ptpusb.dll" on Windows XP Home Edition CD-ROM which is needed for me to get my camera to finish loading the program.

I do not know the path to the "dll" file otherwise I would do it myself. I tried to do a search on my computer for this file but nothing came up.

Help please?

Thanks

I tried the link you gave me and downloaded the file. When I hooked up my camera it asked for the same thing. Still would not work.
