I posted some of the pics i took using my S3 in the link below:

Those are mostly experimental using different settings. All of them are handheld.

Another source is Pbase. Click on 'search'. Then click on the brand of camera - e.g. 'Canon'. That will take you to a list of pretty well all models of Canon.

Click on the model of your choice - 'S3IS' in this case. It then takes you to the first page of a series of pages that have shots taken randomly from all pictures in their database that have been identified as taken by a Canon S3IS. The total of Canon S3IS pictures at Pbase had reached nearly 10,000 a few minutes ago.

Unfortunately, most of the pictures are not a fair test of the cameras that took them, but here and there you'll come across large pictures taken at a camera's best quality setting & where the photographer took the trouble to make sure that the camera was kept still when the shutter fired.

Wow .. thanks folks ..

I read a review where, the guy stated that he spun around in a circle, then depressed the shutter .. and said .. he was "blown away by the amazing results".

I'm guessing he was using a fast shutter speed, and the lens was prolly @ f/8, and his ISO was in the neighborhood of 200 ??

I cant imagine this .. lol .. I've seen some of the images in the links here on the site .. and .. well, I'm kina impressed ..

I'm looking at NewEgg (thats where I read the review above) and they are out of stock right now .. as is Best Buy where I went to demo the camera yesterday .. not too many people have too many negative things to say about this camera ..

Thanks again for the links ..
