Why, why, do the canon and Sony Tele photo converters "NOT" have threads on the the side facing away from the camera so filters can be used as they are supposed to be used without putting so much stress on filters mounted "before" the Tele converter?
I would really appreciate all input.

I've never had a problem using them.

Hoya, told me (by email) that they would void the waranty if there filters were used before the Tele adapter.
If you like I can post the email.
