Okay... I've got an S3 and it seems to be fine for most of my immediate needs but.. I'm likely going to be taking quite a few shots at hockey games with my sons. I spent the weekend with it and yes the Sports setting does bump up the noise and I can get reasonable shots at the goal mouth from the center ice but you do need to move in to get great results.
What I'd like to know if the benefit of an additional lens for permitting me to stay central to the ice sheet and focus on either end with a wider field of view and less of a need to be zooming in and out for clarity. That might sound moronic but I want more in the shot, closer and clearer. Will something like the Raynox DCR-720 or comparible wide angle lens help me get what I'm after.
(I'm not likely tossing the S3 or shopping for a replacement soon so those suggestions can likely be filed under "G")
