Default a70 Underwater Housing

Has anyone used the a70 underwater housing (WP-DC700) yet ?

If so what flash unit did you use with this puppy and how did you connect the flash to make sure it fires in synchrony with the shutter ?

I will be diving in 100' of water off NC and need a bright flash to show details in the murk.

I used the underwater case for the A70 for about 6 weeks on the Great Barrier Reef in depths down to about 20 meters. For shots within 1 meter or so, the integrated flash worked surprisingly well. Unfortunately, I didn't really have time or money to explore an auxiliary source, so I won't be of too much help to you, but if you'd like to see some of the results with just the regular flash, I'd be more than happy to send you some. I'm also very interested to find out what other people have been using, as I plan to do the Yongalla wreck next summer, and am pretty sure that I'll need some better lighting for those depths and the larger animals.

I have been thinking about getting an A-70 and was wondering how it did without an external flash. I'l love to see the pics you got with it. Thanks.
