Default Is it me or does Canon photos look dark?

This may be very subjective but I've been looking to purchase a digital camera for a while and I've noticed with the G3, s40, s45, s50, s400.. etc... they all seem to take dark contrasted photos. For example, look at any sample image from the above cameras and look at shots that were taken of green leafy foliage and it will show up very dark greenish, in some areas almost black. I have my contrast on my screen turned up and have viewed samples on other computers so I do not know what to think. What do you think?

I donno... they seem no darker to me then any Other Camara..

Are you looking at pictures which you took or picutes posted on this websight?

Stimp,

I'm talking about majority of Canon sample photos that people publish. This site, other sites, and more recently the G5 and Sony DSC-V1 shootout at another digital camera review site. Here is a link to another forum I posted the same message and responses. One user posted just recent photos from his several Canon digital cameras and I pointed out the same dark contrast in his photos. Here is the link:
