I was all set to purchase the sd 700 is and yesterday I went to a store and the guy tells me that the sd 550 is a much better camera. The reviews I have read on the sd 700 have been fantastic. Does anyone have experience with both the 550 and 700 that could elaborate as to which would be the better choice. Any and all help would be greatly appreciated.

I was hoping that someone in this forum who is more knowledgeable than I am about these two cameras could shed some light as to which would be the better purchase. If not, than I guess I will just go with my first inclination to get the sd700.

I have had the 700 since Christmas. I really like what I have seen so far. The main two features I wanted was a viewfinder and a very small camera. Sorry don't know anything about the 550.
