Default G3??? V1??? G5???

Heya! my questions are!

Im really gettin nuts... cant choose the right camera for me!!! Ill mostly shoot pictures from family, landscapes, macro of some equipments/engines, travels (so it should be not too bulky). Seldon Ill have to print 8X10...
Im going for a Canon G5, G3, Sony V1...

The G3/V1 has the same price... and G5 is like 200 dollar higher price... I would like you to compare G3/V1 and G5/V1 ... you guys really think it worth the money???
THANKS A LOT!!!

Ill give my opinion about those cameras and then ya could coment and say whatever ya fell about them!

G5/G3:
-good size
-battery life
-CF
-swivel LCD
-someone say that it has red eye and chromatic aberration (blue)

V1:
-really like the sony´s hologram/night shot
-dont know if its too small (especially when flash pop up)....
-like the metal body and lens protection
-really like the VGA option for movies!
-poor battery life

Thanks for your help

I really need someother opinions to feel better!!

Thanks Again!!!

I don't know much about the Sony, but I went through the G1, G2, now the G3. I have the same purpose as yours and the G3 really serve the purpose. However, if I have to make a choice now, I will spend the extra 200 on the G5 although they are mostly identical. I used the G3 to shoot closedup wired to my laptop. you can fire the camera through the computer and I took a hundred pictures for a website in less than 3 hours. The versatility of the camera is really professional.
Go for the G5, it will last for a long time for you. One last thing, the batter last a long time.

Canon G3 or G5 are much more interesting than Sony V1. Much more features. I prefer Canon G3, as I don't want to trade off 1 Mp for some extra noise and purple fringing.

yeah, exactly

only thing really more interesting on the sony is the night framing and night shot modes...

and the chromatic abberation on the g5 is really bad...
