When I play back movies, I get a high frequency squeal from the audio. It's a quite annoying feature of a camera i am otherwise very happy with.
Is this common with G7's?

Please help, I need to know if this is normal or should I send the camera back for repair/replacement??

That does not seem normal at all. Here is a silly video I did when I was at Epcot and besides all of us screaming like girls and the wind it sounds pretty good.

Thanks very much for the post, I know now that it is definately a problem with my camera – mine has an ear piercing high pitched noise like an old TV in its last hours.

It's going to be a pain to send it back for however long while something is done to fix it, but it will be worth it in the end.

thanks again
