Will this Sony lens really work on a Canon? Is it any good?

What camera are you planning to mount one on? A Sony works okay on my S3IS but IMHO a better TC is the Nikon TC-e15ed 1.5x. The Nikon delivers a sharper cleaner image and does not give up that much in power. I own both.

I have three tele converters: a Ricoh TC-M200 (1.5x), a TCON-14B (1.4x) and the Sony (1.7x). I had the S2 for a short time and the Sony worked real well with it (and with greater range), better than the other two.
