Hi all

I have my eye on a A710is. (on a A630 too BTW),
and some questions about it.

When in movie mode,
when half-pressing the shutter, what is locked?
Exposure, Focus?
Or is the Exposure in AE mode, constantly adjusting itself?
Can the focus be locked?

While in manual mode, can i select the amount of flash output?
Is it done via the Flash Exposure Compensation setting?

I had some more questions but can't remember what it was...

If not avaliabe the above, have you heard can it be upgraded
via this DIGIC II hack/firmware/scripting?

Thanx & Regards

Igor

PS: The above questions for A630 too.

In movie mode the focus is locked at the beginning. The exposure is constsntly adjusted.

Yes, with the flash exposure compensation setting you can select the strength of the flash in all modes including the manual mode.

Currently the Digic II hack does not effect the above two questions.
