Hello,

I am really tempted to purchase a new camera sometime soon. I have an S1 IS that is doing me good but ya know people laugh at me with only 3.2MP nowadays.

One of the things I really would like to do is macro pics. Apparently the S5 takes good macros by itself but I was wondering if a macro adapter lense was available and if anyone had any reviews or pics to share.

Also, what tele/wide adapters are good? Are there better alternatives than the canon brand?

Of course there is the Canon Brand lens adapter for the S-5. However, most folks have been using the Lens-Mate adapter. I just ordered one for my S-5, and I will post photos as soon asI receive it

Does Lens-Mate make macro lenses? Or has anyone here used any kind of macro lense on a S2/3/5?

LesMate does have available the Canon 250D and 500D Macro filters to give greater magnification with the ability to have some stand back room from your subject.

Here's a macro filter for the S1:

You'll need a 52mm lens adapter.
