Hi fellas,
First post, with my first Canon!
Got the S3 IS on sale here in Canada over the weekend after reading all the rave reviews. Price has been dropping like flies since the introduction of the S5 IS.

While reading reviews, most sites compliment on the nice quality video. One issue I noticed is that there is a high pitch sound when playing the video. At first i thought it was the speaker on the camera. But then when I transferred the video to view on my computer, it was clear that the sound was in the video. The sound is not as noticeable when using 640*480 30 FPS, but is really noticeable at 320*240 30FPS.

Is this common with Powershots, or with the S3 or do I have a sour lemon? :?

Anyhow, looking forward to be part of this forum as I learn more about my S3.

Hi! The sound is prezent if you are in a room (for example) and is very quiet. It's normal. When you are outside that noise is not so intense, and if it's not windy, ypu better turn off the wind filter. Hope this will help a little.

Thanks for the reply. I was wondering what is the wind filter?
