No one ever said photography is easy. The 630 is a good camera, you need to learn how to adjust it. I took this picture with just the light from a 75 watt bulb with lampshade that was 2 1/2 meters from the cat. I increased the camera's exposure by 1 stop and set the WB to incandesent. It would be a little sharper but the cat would not sit still. This is straight from the camera with no post-processing except to resize the image for the web. To get the most from your camera, pratice, pratice, pratice!
