Default So I got an A60...

And so far, I'm amazed that the camera can take such great pics on auto mode. I've been messing around with the manual settings (still a general camera newb), but I haven't gotten any really good results there. However, I've gotten some on auto that I think are worth showing people, so here goes...

http://wuh.squidsoft.net/newpics/

Beware 56k users, the first group of pics are 1600x1200. The others (below the "08.20.03") are max 900 in width and should load quicker.

Comments and suggestions welcome.

Pretty nice pics. I love my A70 too but, I usually tweak the settings a little. You can check out some of my pics here.

http://gallery16902.fotopic.net/

Everything but the older pics were taken with the A70.
All the pics are as they came off the camera with no post processing. You might want to think about getting an account at fotopic or a similar place so, people can preview the thumbnails and decide which pics to look at or, not to look at. It's a free acct. and everything.

I like your f'ing spiders..... I have taken a few of these as well.
Those "Garden Spiders" females are some spooky bitches. The males are dinky and brown.....

I got some picks of one eating another big spider that I will upload to my pbase site soon.

congrats on the cam and great shots,

Default Oh yeah, nice pics of the spider

This should serve as an example for people who think that the A60/70 take over soft pics. Really nice!

I don't know, I haven't had problems with "soft pictures" and I really haven't seen any as an example from the A60/A70 cameras. People may be getting a little over zealous and shooting before the camera has a chance to focus. Just a thought.

So you guys really like your A70's? No noise in the pics at all like some are saying? I know its a newb sorta questions but I am deciding on a cannon although not sure on the model. Could the noisy pics be just bad models? Thx.

Default canon a60 review

I got an A60 recently too, and I love it. I wrote a review of it from my perspective as an amateur photographer and posted it on my website. There are also sample pictures. Check it out if you're interested:

I haven't had any problems with noise. You can check out some pics I took at night too in the section entitled Wildwood '03. There's only a couple of pics but, you can get the idea.
