I was thinking about getting the rumored Canon 5D MII when it will be released, but I guess it won't have a builtin flash. I like to carry my40D around with me and it really is convenient to have an onboard flash at times (I have the 420EX). Why don't the higher end canons have a builtin flash just for convenience sake?

Thank you.

For full framed models and weather-proofed models a built-in flash makes things much more difficult. Note the Nikon professional modelsdon't have built-in flash units either.

Thank you for the reply. I see what you are saying, I didn't realize that the higher end cameras didn't have builtin flashes. . .
