Hello there, this is an interesting web.

Well, i am the owner of a canon vixia hg10 that recentlywas dropped and since then the potography mode doesn'tworks, i dissasemble an i finded that the blue bus (i don't know thename of the part) a cableinthe form ofatape (blue tape)is broke, just in the part where the photo/videoswitch is.

So i soposed that's why the photo function does't turn on.

So i'll like to knowis somebody knows where i can find a replacement for this part? or how fixed?

I've moved your post down to our Canon Forum, where you may have a better chance of getting a useful response. However, I suspect that most of our members would just send a problem camera back to the manufacturer, versus attempting to fix it for themselves.

Good luck, and welcome to the forums.

i would definately look for a replacement part, and those ribbon things are very easy to break, and i dont think there is any way to fix the "blue tape thing"
