by the way i just watched the hd video on steves review section (grass mowing video) and i notice a little flicker in the begining of the video... is it common ?

OK, you shouldn't expect HD-DVD video quality from your TX1. It does film in 720p, but the quality is still very far from the result you see on a high-def movie (either HD-DVD or Blu-Ray, they're the exact same save for the name).

Still, the TX1 outputs great little movies.

True! The "pixel output" may be 720x1280, but the CCD isn't actually capable of that. Therefore the "HD" output is merely interpolated.
It really should be reffered to as "HD Compatible" for acuracy.
I believe the TX-1 does what it does quite well, but then again, how many interpolated HD P&S cams are there on the market to compare it to?
