I had the camera in photo mode with the lens extended and dropped it from about 5.5 feet onto concrete. The camera powers up and does takes photos.

The LCD screen, however, is solid white, except for a small trangular black area in the lower left corner. It displays the white screen whether the camera is in shooting mode or playback mode. In shooting mode, I can push the "display" button and turn the display on and off, but when on, the LCD displays the white screen.

I purchased the camera new less than 3 months ago, so I would hate to give up on it already. But I am wondering, based on the symptoms that I've described, if this camera is fixable, or if abusing a camera with this type of drop makes it not worth repairing.

Thanks in advance for any ideas or experience you can share on this.
