Thanks Dennis

The SD890 IS TOO MUCH FOR MY BUDGET (CURRENTLY HAVE 3 CAMERAS). IF I AM GOING FOR #4 IT WOULD BE IN THE NEIGHBORHOOD OF THE A590IS~SD770IS or SD1100IS (ALL CAN BE HAD FOR UNDER $200.00 EACH).

CANONS HAVE OPTICAL VIEW FINDERS, ARE VERY COMPACT AND HAVE OPTICAL IS.

KODAKS HAVE 5X OPTICAL ZOOM, DIGITAL IS ANDINTERNAL STITCHING BUT LIMITED TO 3 HORIZONTAL SHOTS.

I LIVE ON MY CREDIT CARD AND WILL THIS MONTH BE ABLE TO GET ABOUT $200 GIFT CARD FOR PLACES LIKE BEST BUY OR J&R AND GET THE CAMERA FOR NEXT TO NOTHING (NOTHING FALLS INTO MY BUDGET). OTHER WISE I WOULD STICK TO MY 3 CAMERAS AND JUST COPE WITH THE AVAILABLE ON LINE PROGRAMS OR THE FREE ONE PROVIDED WITH MY PANASONIC.

I didn't realize there was a difference in IS - digital and optical. What's the difference? Which is better?

Thanks, Patty
