Looking to buy a couple of Canon point and shoot cameras for Xmas (yes, I know it's only just October) which are likely to be IXUS cameras. The reviews on this site seem to be primarily on the Elph series (US?) as opposed to the Ixus (Europe?) range. Are these directly comparable? Do they havethe same numbering sequence (I am thinking not)?

Thanks for any help you can give.

Kev.

The same cameras use IXUS name in Europe and the ELph name in U.S.

The numbering system is not the same.

More info at http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ixus
