Default G5 CCD dead after firmware update!

I have got a dead CCD pixel after updating my G5 with the latest 2.0.0.0!

Now I alway get a white (or light) dot on that same particular location whenever I shoot with dark grounds.

I verified with my old shots and it was not like that before I patch the firmware.

Anybody experience this strange phenomenon???

My local Canon Service Centre said my CCD have to be "re-mapped'. And this could be due to the new firmware over-writing the previous setting!

I dont buy this idea though, STRANGE!
