Nice pictures! I think SX1 is a very good camera - with excellent video/audio, even when 43 Mbps data rate are unnecessary and overkill.

With 1920x1080, stereo sound, 20x zoom, moveable display ... it's also best suited to replace an extrahd camcorder.

Is that the SX1 you used for the moon shot??
If so what settings did you use, I can't quite get that magnification, close, but my craters don't show up as well as yours,
Also did you use a tripod too ??

Good day to you.

For the moon I used the SX1 on a tripod.

I used the M mode and set the aperture and shutter myself but playing with the values until I got a clear picture. That will depend on the light that night and the position of the moon I am afraid so even if I had saved the values I do not think these would be of much help to you.

I used the full magnification. The picture was then cropped so on the original picture the moon did not really look that big.

WOW!! YOUR PICTURES ARE AMAZING
I MUST GET A TRIPOD TOO FOR MY SX1. THE BEST I CAN MANAGE AFTER ONLY FOUR DAYS ARE THESE :

I HAVE NO TRIPOD AND TRY TO KEEP CAMERA STILL IN MY HANDS, ITS VERY DIFFICULT
