Default A70 users -- Do you like built-in software?

Win XP user here.
Do you use the software that came with the camera (Zoom browser) for uploading picture to the PC? I'm thinking about just getting rid of it and use the one that comes with Win XP.
Any comments?

Guess I'm not much help but I never even installed the software. Is it worth taking a look at? Any nice functions?

I have the A60 by the way but I'm pretty sure it's the same software.....

Only PhotoStitch that i found it's useful. These others no need. Because in XP you can set the camera to automatic download images when connect.

Hi

I use both Win XP and Win 98. On both I use Zoombrowser for download of images.
I'm not 100% sure, but I think, that with Zoombrowser you can see a little more picture information (like which recording mode used (P or Av or ...) and compression (Superfine / Fine / Normal)).

Cheers

I use Zoombrowser too just because I like the way it archives the pictures. It seems just as good as the Windows software too so, I figure, why not use it?

Like others I use PhotoStitch only. Everything else is handled via ACDSee 6.0 that I've got for free with scanner. It recognizes Canon and does a nice job of downloading pics including full Exiff info. In all other respects (especially editing and cataloging) it's heads and shoulders better than both ZoomBrowser and the XP builtin thing.

I also use ZoomBrowser for downloading pictures, because I like the way it catalogues them, while in general I prefer ACDSee. I also use RemoteCapture for self-portraits and PhotoRecord program for creating albums. I'm not aware of any alternative for the first one, and the second one is just fun to work with.
