Default what does Normal, Fine and Superfine mean?

what does Normal, Fine and Superfine mean? All of them have diferent sizes and stuff like that for each resolution, please explian someone!!

Brava,
I am going to give a real simple answer to both your posts. the numbers like 640x480 is going to detiremine the size of your picture, the modes you listed would be the quality at that size, superfine being the best. get a big memory card shoot with biggest numbers at superfine. You can always downsize for email after.
