Thanks

Ondrob,
you would need a setting that would allow by pass of memory card, best to just use webcam w/CCD chip, the ones with the CMOS need to much light.

Your camera came with an application called Remote Capture. I haven't used it myself, but it's supposed to let you control the camera when tethered to your computer...

You can't. A40 doesn't have that function built in. Remote Capture only takes single picture. Some cameras can like Fuji's.
It might be possible to do-it-yourself (need a computer guy's help). The basic idea is to keep the camera's shutter open(?) and let the computer aquire the pictures through USB. Just my guess. Hope somebody can give a better answer.

Default Webcam..

There's one way: Buy a TV-Card or any Video-card which supports video-in. Connect the camera (audio-/video-out)--> PC (Video-in) and get a webcam software. You must also buy a AC Adapter Kit ACK600, because the camera must be on all the time. Don't forget to set off the auto energy safe mode.
