Default Date imprint in canon A480

Hi,

I own a Canon powershot A480. I would like to have the date imprinted on the photos i take. But i am not sure how to go about doing it. I looked accross on the manual but couldnt find it. If anyone could let me know, it would be great

Thanks

prady-

Welcome to the Forum. We're pleased you dropped by.

While the date is automatically logged into the EXIF information captured with every photo taken with your Canon A-480 camera, I do not believe there is a way to imprint it automatically within the photo itself. That pretty much is a Kodak feature.

If you do photo editing, you can easily imprint the date on each of your photos, but that again is an additional step.

Have a great day.

You are right that the manual included in the box did not have information on date imprint.

However, the manual I downloaded from
http://gdlp01.c-wss.com/gds/7/030000...480_CUG_EN.pdf

Page 65 image quality (Date Stamp) 2M / 1600 x 1200

I am having date imprinted to each photo taken after changing to the above image quality.

BigCloud-

I am delighted to hear that you created a work around thanks to the expanded downloaded PDF detailed Owners Manual.

One good feature of this Canon PowerShot A480:

This camera does not consumes a lot of battery power as my Samsung camera does. I used the same batteries I used in my Samsung camera to shoot a 15 minutes video and playback. Surprised to note that it lasted much longer. The batteries would have gone flat in 5 minutes if I were to use my Samsung camera.

As per manual page 14, playback alkaline batteries 8 hours & NiHM batteries 10 hours
