Default Dropped camera and broke the flash bulb.

I have the s230 and I dropped my camera and happened to break the flash bulb. Does anyone know if Im gonna have to send my camera to Canon? If I do, does it take a long time for them to fix it and send it back? Thanks in adv. for the responses!

I have read in several Canon forums that the time differs. Generally it appears that it takes ten days but I have read it has sometimes taken 5 plus weeks.

I would think that repair time would depend on the availability of parts and on the current work order backlog. They no doubt import replacement parts and probably have to wait for shipments to come in at times. I imagine that the number of repair orders varies on any given day, week or month.

Non warranty repairs, from what I understand, start out around $155 and go up from there.
