Default A-300 / A-60

Hi!

I'am looking for a point-n-shot digi-cam as a second cam beside my SLR.
So my question is, would you prefere powershot A-300 or A-60?

THX

If I wanted a second digicam, I'd check into Casio EX-S3. Reasons: small, fast, durable, handy. If you're determined to choose between A300 and A60, I think the answer depends on what you need more: extra MP and VGA video mode of the A300, or zoom, manual modes, and 15 sec shutter speed of the A60. Personally, I'd prefere the A60.

If it's really point and shoot you want, go with the A300, although you are stuck with a fixed lens. From experience of both I would say that the A300 is more robust.

The A60 allows more control, and is probably a better choice because you can leave everything up to the camera, or twiddle a few knobs yourself if the mood takes you.

I don't know what the price comparison is where you are, but here the A70 is a direct price match for the A300, with the A60 quite a bit cheaper. That could be a big factor in the decision.

that's exactly my problem. if it were like this here (germany), when the decission would be A70. here it's jsut the other way around - same price of A300 & A60 - and that's my limit.
more robust is a good argument for A300.
is there a other nice cam in this price range?
