Default Canon SX200 purple flowers come out blue

I've had a sx200 for a while and all seems to be ok. I recently noticed when taking pictures of some flowers that purple flowers come out blue. Purple Iris are blue, purple vetch are blue.etc.

This seems to be the only are where I see this. AWB is on auto, colors are set for vivid. ISO speed is auto.

Any idea's?

pcmastern-

That is a part of a well documented function flaw of the Vivid Color mode.
