Default A480

I have a 'sticky' retracting lens problem. I haven't dropped it or anything and cannot explain the why's. It 'jerks' and stops on retracting.

Can it be repaired and how much will it cost?

ps. And no! Waving my wand over it doesn't help.

Welcome to the Forum. We're pleased that you dropped by.

The questions to ask are these: is the camera still under warranty? Is there any third part warranty, such as a Mack Warranty, or a Square Deal Warranty?

If there is no warranty, then there a bit of a problem: I also have an A480 and there is no "slop" or wobble during the extension. This is only a guess, but I would guess that the Canon repair cost is greater than the current selling price of a used A480.

I purchased my A480 delivered for $41.00 on E-Bay. so you can see that it might be cheaper to purchase a used Canon A480. That is just my 2 cents worth.
