I am too a big fan of the S90. The larger sensor has given me excellent IQ and very good images without the use of the flash. Your pictures show off this P&S' capabiities very well. What ISO were you using? (sorry, but I cannot seem to access the EXIF data). I find that when the ISO is set on auto, it can set itself at upto 3200 which results in noise and graininess. I usually shoot in Av mode and fix the ISO at 200 and gotten excellent pictures.

I use a Nikon D300s and a Pentax K10D as my DLRS's; but for P&S use, the S90 has earned a place in my pocket!

Upside down Christmas tree was ISO400...The Christmas Figurines with the Opry Christmas Sign were at ISO640...the Gold Reindeer was at ISO800...all the others were ISO125 or less...the S90 is a very good pocket camera...the only error that I wished I had corrected was the S90 Lens Distortion which is said to be corrected in Canon DPP easily...

The Shutter Speeds were 1/40 for the Reindeer and 1/60 for the other two...
