Default Ease of use to beginner -G2?

Hi there,
I'm wanting to purchase a G2 but am new to digital photography & am wondering if it's TOO much of a camera for me or will I be able to learn as I go along. Any advice please. Is there anyone who has been in the same position but bought one and how did you get on with it. Help much appreciated.

The better the cam, the smarter the cam. Just put her on auto and take great pics while you take time with the "book"

I've found the G2 to be quite simple to use. Full auto works ok but the built in picture modes work even better. Accessing them off the dial is really easy and you'll getter better shots too.

Much easier than my Nikon 950 is.

Default G2

I bought a G2 with little experience in the digital camera arena. I found it's very easy to use if you read the book (which is user friendly) and most importantly, practice!!! The nice thing about it...with digital you can practice over and over and over and over again...and stop when you've generated what you like.

The g2 is a great choice!
