Default Kite Aerial Photography with CHDK

Hi all,

I've been fairly active on the Panasonic forum, recently picked up a second-hand Canon A550 to play with CHDK - which led me to KAP (Kite Aerial Photography).

These are the first couple of shots, taken at a park near my house.

#1 - My son flying his kite (at a much lower height), along with a friend and our family's dogs:

#2 - Looking out across the freeway:

Last weekend we planned a more interesting session on the coast, but the kite crashed and needs some repairs - fortunately the camera wasn't up at the time.

Oh my gosh!!!

I just noticed there are power lines on the first shot, next to where your son is playing with his kite!!!

Man! That's utterly dangerous! (i doubt they are insulated)

Hi Electrolyte, I would expect power lines in the streets adjacent to any park in Australia (except for new estates, which have underground power). In this case my son's kite didn't have a long enough line to reach them.
